    Baseball fans all know the recent news from the MLB. All “foreign substances” on baseballs are banned. The spitball has caused some major drama for the sport as of late. But, did you know that “Happy” Jack Chesbro was the first to use this back in 1902? He even called it the “most effective ball that possibly could be used.” Back in 1902, the spitball was perfectly legal.
