The Romanian government was never a shining city upon a hill, but matters there have gotten even worse for the country as the current government almost went through a collapse. This is an issue close to my heart. Not only have I traveled to Romania (it’s a beautiful country) but my wife was born there. I tend to keep a close eye out on their news and government. I’m used to outrageous headlines that make our politicians look like saints.

The latest news coming from them was of their imminent collapse. A dispute over a 10 billion Euro development program pitted political coalitions against the current Prime Minister, Florin Cîtu. The “USR PLUS” party claimed that Cîtu has “plunged the country into political crisis.” However, Cîtu managed to survive the vote of no confidence. However, I don’t think this will be the last for the Prime Minister. He has dealt with scandal after scandal ever since arriving in office. I go into more detail on today’s episode so you won’t want to miss that.
